We purchased the license, online (in about 10 minutes) so that we could utilize the lesser-used GMRS channels. And when just around our home, we use the FRS channels. The signals are clear, though the weather radio has only mild reception, even though we're not too far from the Greater Miami transmitter. The vibra-call is excellent! The battery life though, is only fair. Even when cycling the battery usage, I'm finding that the drain is all too fast.
