Midland LXT300 Midland LXT300 22-Channel GMRS (Pair) Review

I have owned this product for about an year now. It works fine within a half mile to a mile radius (product claims a 10 mile radius). The handsets feel sturdy and very usable.After about an year of use, the battery indicator is always at "low" every after an overnight recharge and the unit drops conversations with a crackle. It might just need a new rechargeable battery pack but in the future, I am unlikely to buy a "Midland". I do have to add that it was very useful during the time it worked well.

The Midland LXT300 Midland LXT300 22-Channel GMRS provides a range of up to 10 miles for clear, crisp communication. Features include three call tones, a keypad lock that locks your selected settings, and a battery save circuit. The auto squelch removes annoying background noise and the auto battery save provides longer battery life. The backlit display provides for easy nighttime viewing. A silent operation feature allows you to turn off all tones for quiet operation and a monitor feature checks for any activity on your channel. A roger beep indicates call completion. Keystroke tones are audible with each key press. The water-resistant LXT300 has microphone and headset jacks and a volume knob.
