I bought the same model CXT 450 which the only difference being sold by another store. This radio does what I wanted it for,just communication around my property. My cell phone has some dead areas around on my property. This has so far surpassed my expectations. However do not expect 22 mile distance out of it unless you are on top of a mountain talking to someone on top of another mountain with no obstacles in between. I barely get a mile in heavy Forest. One thing that I was unaware of when I bought it was the weather channels on this unit. They are very clear and an extra benefit to the radio if you are in the outdoors. So i think it has been a very good purchase.
